Miyamoto was apparently furious over Wii Sports being a pack-in title for the Wii and the console notably sold way less in Japan then it did in the west primarily because of Wii Sports not being a pack-in title over there and with the godawful 1-2 Switch being a full priced title it really felt like Miyamoto was finally able to get his way after Iwata’s passing.
