I mean, Death Stranding 1 was also fairly critical of the US in a subtle way, since its ghost Internet is powered by dead children, and it never really thrusts That in your face. Also, this is by the same guy who made MGS Peace Walker, a game that says Outer Heaven was originally intended by Big Boss for those society rejected, like people of color and LGBTQ people(including Big Boss, who the game let’s you have with Kaz in a cardboard box, as well as a BDSM codec convo between the two)
